UAC told about the production plans for IL-96 on VASO until 2025

In the perspective of six to seven years, the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) sees the "confident loading" of the Voronezh Joint-Stock Aircraft Building Society (VASO) under the Il-96 program with the assembly rate of these cars at the level of 2.0-2.5 aircraft per year, said the President of the UAC Yuri Slyusar . According to him, this will ensure the needs of the Special Flight Team "Russia", the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and special customers.

The corporate edition explains: "This refers to the 24th and 25th machines that the plant is making under the contract already signed and delivered in 2020. Two cars, the 26th and 27th, for which the decision was made, should be launched in production, without waiting for a contract, at the expense of loan funds, with the delivery in 2020 and 2021. IL-96 is a program that, according to Yuri Slyusar, "determines the viability of VASO." Now the enterprise is preparing the production of a modernized Il-96-400M aircraft (recall that the deliveries of engines for this aircraft, which are scheduled to begin flight tests in 2019, will be held this year). Including for the financing of production infrastructure facilities under this program, the UAC will increase the charter capital of VASO by 4.5 billion rubles.

The allocated funds will also go to the technical re-equipment of the enterprise. Recall that the transport aviation programs at VASO are now making the first prototype of a new light IL-112 transport aircraft and preparing it for testing. This aircraft will receive the TV7-117ST engine, which is also designed for the passenger turboprop Il-114-300.
