First SSJ 100 with winglets in the air

The Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SSC) continues to test the Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ 100) with horizontal winglets (due to its saber-shaped endings, they are called Saberlets) . Now, on the aircraft with airborne number 97006 within the program of additional certification flight tests, the stage began to determine the characteristics of aircraft at large angles of attack .

To carry out the tests, the experimental machine was equipped with an "additional non-standard system of air signals with full and static pressure detectors installed on the rod and angular and angle sensors". This system makes it possible to obtain indications of the parameters, "minimizing the influence" of the disturbed "flow from the airflow around the aircraft". The results obtained were used to more accurately calculate the stalling rates and the lift coefficient .
