The Canadian aircraft maker Bombardier in the end of 2017 demonstrated a decline in financial and production indicators in the segment of business and commercial aircraft .

The revenue of the business aircraft division was about $ 5 billion, which is 14% less than in 2016, which is due, among other things, to a reduction in deliveries compared to 2016. A total of 140 aircrafts were delivered to customers, 23 less than in the previous year.

At the end of the year, 73 aircraft were delivered in the segment of commercial aircraft, 13 less than in 2016. Revenues respectively decreased by 9% and amounted to $ 2.4 billion. The number of net orders (taking into account received refusals of deliveries) decreased from 161 units. in 2016 to 70 units. according to the results of 2017. The portfolio of orders for the year totaled 433 aircrafts (-3% versus the figures for 2016).

Deliveries of commercial aircraft included 30 turboprop Q400, 26 jet CRJ and 17 narrow-bodied CSeries. It should be noted that the plans for 2017 originally included the delivery of 30-35 CSeries aircraft. The manufacturer notes that delays in the transfer of aircraft to customers are associated with the supplier of turbofan engines PW1500G, which are equipped with aircraft of this family. These newest Pratt & Whitney engines belong to the same family as the PW1100G, which complete the Airbus A320neo, and during the first stage of their commercial operation, a number of issues arose that required further development .
