European manufacturer Airbus Helicopters are launching the speed of assembly of medium-range twin-engine helicopters H175 to 30 vehicles per year. It is expected that this will happen by 2019-2020, told the program director H175 Mark Allong. The top manager specified that more precise terms will depend on the market situation, which now is going through not the simplest times. Deliveries of H175 began at the end of 2014. The first helicopter was put into operation a few seconds after its transfer to the launch operator. Since then, 19 such machines have been delivered to operators, of which 10 have been transferred this year. Their total flight time exceeded 20 thousand hours. Another aircraft is waiting for the transfer before the end of the year. Next year, 14-15 aircraft will be delivered, and within three years the number of transferred aircraft will increase to 30 cars per year. According to Allong, the production rates meet the demand for H175. To date, Airbus Helicopters have received more than 100 private orders for various modifications of these helicopters, most of which are in the Armed Forces for the oil and gas industry. How to satisfy Allong, such a number of contracts was signed, despite the weak demand for new aircraft from the oil and gas sector. As for VIP-versions, for today three such cars have been delivered and the same number of aircraft has been contracted. The final assembly line of the H175 is located in Marignane. It is organized so that the helicopter moves along it and is gradually equipped with all the new elements. This happens in six stages, each of which takes three weeks, but in the future, each cycle will be reduced to two weeks due to optimization of assembly processes. Two H175 have already been delivered to Russia. One of them was transferred to the largest Russian helicopter operator UTair. As Allong said, this aircraft was not put into operation. "We rented a car for demonstrating operational opportunities to foreign customers in Marignane," the program director said. The remaining VS of the Russian company will be delivered when UTair is ready for this. "The final decision on the cars has not been made yet," he said. One more aircraft was transferred to the Russian client in the VIP version. The name of this client is not disclosed. As Allong said, it is expected that another such car will be sold to Russia, perhaps even before the end of the year. In the Russian representative office of the European manufacturer - Airbus Helicopters Vostok this information was not confirmed. The H175 program was launched in 2006. The H175 was originally certified for oil and gas transportation. Then there was a VIP version of the machine, and also for the customers available aircraft for government needs, for example search and rescue and law enforcement operations. The final assembly line of the Sun in Marignane is capable of producing all the configurations of the car. All aircraft of this type support modern Helionix avionics systems, which Airbus Helicopters developed independently.
